Sorafenib in radioactive iodine-refractory, locally advanced or metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer: a randomised, double-blind, phase 3 trial
TLDR
It is suggested that sorafenib is a new treatment option for patients with progressive radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer and progression-free survival significantly improved in all prespecified clinical and genetic biomarker subgroups, irrespective of mutation status.
Clinical characteristics of primary thyroid lymphoma in Koreans.
TLDR
The patients with MALT lymphoma were more frequently presented with early stage diseases and this might lead to the favorable outcome to treatments than those with DLBCL.
Metastasis to the thyroid diagnosed by fine‐needle aspiration biopsy
TLDR
The number of cases seems to have increased in recent years, and this increase may be related to more frequent use of fine‐needle aspiration biopsy in any suspected case.
Association between BRAF V600E mutation and recurrence of papillary thyroid cancer.
TLDR
BRAF mutation was associated with poorer recurrence-free probability in Kaplan-Meier survival analyses in various clinicopathologic categories and demonstrated an independent prognostic value of BRAF V600E mutation for PTC recurrence in various clinical categories.
Ultrasonography‐guided fine‐needle aspiration of thyroid incidentaloma: correlation with pathological findings
TLDR
Routine use of ultrasound‐guided fine‐needle aspiration (USGFNA) has been the source of much controversy due to the lack of large‐scale studies and lack of data on the natural course of well‐differentiated thyroid cancer of small size.
The BRAF mutation is not associated with poor prognostic factors in Korean patients with conventional papillary thyroid microcarcinoma.
TLDR
In Korean patients with conventional micro-PTC, the presence of the BRAF(V600E) mutation was not significantly associated with prognostic factors.
18F‐Fluorodeoxyglucose Uptake in Thyroid from Positron Emission Tomogram (PET) for Evaluation in Cancer Patients: High Prevalence of Malignancy in Thyroid PET Incidentaloma
TLDR
The prevalence of incidental thyroid 18F‐fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake in positron emission tomogram (PET) scan for evaluation in cancer patients and the role of standard uptake value (SUV) measurement in differentiation of thyroid malignancy from benign disease are investigated.
Revised Korean Thyroid Association Management Guidelines for Patients with Thyroid Nodules and Thyroid Cancer
TLDR
The Revised Korean Thyroid Association Management Guidelines for Patients with Thyroid Nodules and Thyroid Cancer and Department of Hospital Pathology.

TLDR
The activating BRAFV600E mutation is the most common genetic alteration reported in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and is associated with factors predicting a poor prognosis and recurrence.
Low normal TSH levels are associated with low bone mineral density in healthy postmenopausal women
TLDR
Whether serum TSH levels correlate with bone mineral density (BMD) is determined to determine whether hyperthyroidism and reduced bone mass are accompanied by low bone mass.
