Conforming the hypothesis, partial digestion of 95 k vitellin with pepsin and α‐chymotrypsin makes several protein bands of molecular weight around 80 kDa, indicating the 95k viteLLin may have a cleavage site (s) to produce 80 k vITEllin which forms fairly stable tertiary structure.
Heterologous expression and characterization of endocellulase from the Japanese pine sawyer Monochamus saltuarius (MsGHF5)
- Hyunjun Ko, Hyukjoon Kwon, Hyunjun Ko, J. Ryu, Hwi‐Seung Song, Y. Park
- Biology
- 1 January 2015
In this study, the endocellulase gene from Monochamus saltuarius (MsGHF5) was transformed into Escherichia coli (RosettaBlue(DE3)pLysS strain), and induced by IPTG. The molecular weight of…

Wood boring insects collected around bait logs of Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis were 45 species from 4 families, which were composed of 21 species of Cerambycidae, 9 species of Curculionidae,…
cDNA cloning and induction of tyrosine hydroxylase gene from the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella.
- Sejung Hwang, Saeyoull Cho, Y. Park
- BiologyArchives of Insect Biochemistry and Physiology
- 1 October 2010
The cloned a full-length tyrosine hydroxylase cDNA from the integument of the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella, found that Ser(35) of PxTH is highly conserved across a broad phylogenetic range of animal taxa including rat and human.

- Abdulaziz M. A. Mohamed, D. Hogg, Y. Park, W. Goodman
- Biology
- 1 September 2003
A simple immunological assay was developed as an alternative to the dissection/visualization method for detecting the presence of the parasitoid, Microctonus aethiopoides Loan, in the alfalfa weevil,…
Growth, Development, and Reproduction of Monochamus saltuarius (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) on Conifers Fed to Larvae
- I. Hwang, Juhyun Kim, Y. Park
- Environmental Science
- 30 December 2008
Though the larval body weights were in a wide spectrum among treatments, growth curves of them were very similar from each other, showing continuous increase from the early larval stage to about 3 months old, the body weight was decreased slightly after the feeding period of the early 3 months.
A report on the 2012 mass summer mortalities of black rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli in the Southeast Sea, Korea
- D. Lee, Y. Park, Ki-Chae Cho
- Environmental Science
- 31 December 2013
From July to early September 2012, there was mass mortality of fishes, particularly black rockfish, which were being raised in the floating fish cage along the coast of Gyeongsangnam-do and the causes were confirmed to be rapidly rising water temperature and repeated daily changes in water temperature.
