- Akihiro Yamaguchi, Y. Nakamoto, H. Takada
- Computer ScienceIEEE International Conference on Data Engineering
- 13 April 2015
An automotive embedded DSMS (AEDSMS) is developed to address new challenges such as precompiling queries when designing automotive systems, distributed stream processing in in-vehicle networks, and real-time scheduling and sensor data fusion by stream processing.
Real-time task scheduling algorithms for maximum utilization of secondary batteries in portable devices
- Y. Nakamoto, Y. Tsujino, N. Tokura
- Computer ScienceProceedings Seventh International Conference on…
- 12 December 2000
It is shown that the decrease in secondary battery consumption is minimum when executing a program with as low a CPU frequency as possible and an optimal scheduling algorithm is described which maximizes the utilized time of the secondary battery.
Adaptive Resource Allocation Control for Fair QoS Management
- F. Harada, T. Ushio, Y. Nakamoto
- BusinessIEEE transactions on computers
- 1 March 2007
A novel control method for fair resource allocation and maximization of the quality of service (QoS) levels of individual tasks is proposed and eliminates the need for precise detection of the consumption functions as in conventional feedback control methods.
Bayesian-Optimization-Based Peak Searching Algorithm for Clustering in Wireless Sensor Networks
- Tianyu Zhang, Qian Zhao, Kilho Shin, Y. Nakamoto
- Computer ScienceJ. Sens. Actuator Networks
- 2 January 2018
We propose a new peak searching algorithm (PSA) that uses Bayesian optimization to find probability peaks in a dataset, thereby increasing the speed and accuracy of clustering algorithms. Wireless…
Power-Aware Resource Allocation with Fair QoS Guarantee
- F. Harada, T. Ushio, Y. Nakamoto
- Computer ScienceIEEE International Conference on Embedded and…
- 16 August 2006
A multiple-objective optimization problem in which the objective functions are minimization of total enemy consumption and maximization of the QoS level and a Pareto optimal solution representing the trade-off between the two objective functions is obtained numerically using a weighted-sum method for the case that the resource consumption functions are convex.
Toward Remote Service Invocation in Android
- Kazuhiro Nakao, Y. Nakamoto
- Computer Science9th International Conference on Ubiquitous…
- 4 September 2012
This paper evaluates whether the inter-process communication mechanism in Android can be used in remote service invocation using the application layer protocol in the feasibility study, and proposes intent class extension to realize transparent remote service communication to other devices without any modifications to the Android application.
Faulty Sensor Data Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks Using Logistical Regression
- Tianyu Zhang, Qian Zhao, Y. Nakamoto
- Computer ScienceInternational Conference on Distributed Computing…
- 1 June 2017
This paper proposes a method that divides a logistical regression ML method into two steps, then distributes the two steps into sink nodes and sensor nodes to detect faulty sensor data.
Adaptive resource allocation control with on-line search for fair QoS level
- F. Harada, T. Ushio, Y. Nakamoto
- BusinessProceedings. RTAS . 10th IEEE Real-Time and…
- 25 May 2004
The proposed adaptation controller allocates a CPU utilization factor to each task with online search for the fair QoS level, and the proposed control rule is based on errors between the current QoS levels and their average.
Topology Management for Reducing Energy Consumption and Tolerating Failures in Wireless Sensor Networks
- Qian Zhao, Y. Nakamoto
- Computer ScienceInternational Journal of Networking and Computing
- 12 January 2016
Two provisioned fault tolerance algorithms are proposed: EHAEC for one-fault tolerance (EHAEC-1FT) and the active spare selecting algorithm (ASSA), which outperformed EHAec in terms of energy efficiency when fault tolerance was the most important and a fault tolerant redundancy was created when or before a failure occurred.
