- Biology, MedicineDifferentiation; research in biological diversity
- 1 June 2003
Oval cells can differentiate into cells with the morphological, phenotypic and functional characteristics of hepatocytes, and this 2-step induction procedure could provide an abundant source of hepatocyte for cell transplantation and tissue engineering.
First Report of Wild tomato mosaic virus Infecting Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) in China.
- Z. Du, X. She, Y. F. Tang, Z. F. He, J. Yang
- Medicine, BiologyPlant Disease
- 12 May 2014
The results indicate that WTMV, which forms a monophyletic clade with a number of other potyviruses infecting Solanaceae species in phylogenetic analysis, is widely distributed, or is spreading in Southeast Asia.
First Report of Tomato yellow leaf curl Kanchanaburi virus Infecting Eggplant in Laos.
- Y. F. Tang, Z. F. He, Z. Du, L. Lu
- Medicine, BiologyPlant Disease
- 7 February 2014
The results indicated that the virus associated with eggplant yellow mosaic disease was an isolate of TYLCKaV, the first report of this begomovirus in Laos, and this virus may be spreading in Southeast Asia.
Molecular characterization of a novel bipartite begomovirus isolated from Lycianthes biflora in China
- Y. F. Tang, Z. F. He, J. Brown, X. She, G. Lan
- BiologyArchives of Virology
- 25 April 2017
The virus is a new, previously undescribed bipartite begomovirus species for which the name “Lycianthes yellow mosaic virus” is proposed, and associated with yellow leaf curl disease in tomato.
Molecular characterization of a novel monopartite begomovirus isolated from Pouzolzia zeylanica in China
- Y. F. Tang, Z. Du, Z. F. He, X. She, J. Cai
- BiologyArchives of Virology
- 5 March 2013
Results indicate that isolate TY01 is a member of a novel Begomovirus species, for which the name “Pouzolzia golden mosaic virus” (PGMV) is proposed.
Identification and molecular characterization of two begomoviruses from Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn. exhibiting yellow mosaic symptoms in adjacent regions of China and Vietnam
- Y. F. Tang, Z. Du, Z. F. He, Judith K. Brown, X. She
- BiologyArchives of Virology
- 18 May 2014
Phylogenetic analysis revealed that GD1 belongs to a new begomovirus species, for which the name Pouzolzia yellow mosaic virus is proposed, and that PGMV-TY01 and VN were likely the parents of GD1 through recombination with allamanda leaf curl virus isolate G10 (AlLCV-G10), a begomvirus endemic to Guangdong Province of China.
Activation, isolation, identification and in vitro proliferation of oval cells from adult rat livers
- Z. He, W. Tan, Y. F. Tang, H. J. Zhang, M. Feng
- BiologyCell Proliferation
- 1 April 2004
New model combining ethionine treatment with partial hepatectomy to activate oval cells is established, then a procedure utilizing selective enzymatic digestion and density gradient centrifugation is developed to isolate and purify such cells from heterogeneous liver cell population, providing definitive evidence of the presence of hepatic stem‐like cells in adult rat livers.
First Report of Potato Blackleg Disease Caused by Pectobacterium atrosepticum in Guangdong China.
- X. She, Z. F. He, Y. F. Tang, Z. Du, G. Lan
- Medicine, BiologyPlant Disease
- 6 November 2013
This is the first report of potato blackleg disease caused by P. atrosepticum in Guangdong Province, China and the sequences of the 10 fragments were identical and had 100% sequence identity with 16S rDNA of Pectobacterium atroseptica.
First Report of Leaf Spot Caused by Epicoccum sorghinum on Chinese Flowering Cabbage (Brassica parachinensis) in China
A leaf spot disease was observed on B. parachinensis in commercial fields located in Zijin county, Guangdong, China and symptoms first appeared as small chlorotic spots on leaves, which enlarged and coalesced to form irregular gray-white necrotic lesions.
