Morphological variation, genetic differentiation and phylogeography of the East Asia cicada Hyalessa maculaticollis (Hemiptera: Cicadidae)
The results reveal that the abundant intraspecific morphological variations are consistent with high levels of genetic divergence in this species, but incongruence between the Morphological variations and genetic divergence is found in a few lineages. Expand
A new species of Cicadatra Kolenati, 1857 from China, with primary phylogenetic analyses of the tribe Cicadatrini (Hemiptera: Cicadidae).
The monophyly of Cicadatrini is supported, and Cicadatsini is more allied to the outgroup Cicadetta of the subfamily Cicadettinae (= Tibicininae auct.) from TNT and WinClada analyses. Expand
Revision, phylogeny and phylogeography of the cicada genus Auritibicen (Hemiptera: Cicadidae), with descriptions of ten new species
It is inferred that the center of distribution of Auritibicen could be Southwest China, from where species of this genus spreaded northeastwards to Shaanxi, Hubei and other provinces along the Qinling and Daba Mountains, then further northeastward to Hebei Province in China and also to Far East Russia, the Korean Penisula, and Japan. On cicadas of Hyalessa maculaticollis complex (Hemiptera, Cicadidae) of China
The genus Hyalessa China is reviewed based on the discovery of male of the type species H. ronshana China as well as the description of one new species (H. batangensis sp. n.) and the identity of Sonata and the systematic placement of hyalessa are discussed. Expand
A new cicada species of Psalmocharias Kirkaldy feeding on an Ephedra plant from China (Hemiptera: Cicadidae)
A new species of the genus Psalmocharias Kirkaldy, 1908, P. akesensis sp. nov., from Xinjiang, China is described. A key to all species of Psalmocharias is provided. This new species feeds on theExpand
Comparative morphology of antennae in Cicadoidea (Insecta: Hemiptera), with respect to functional, taxonomic and phylogenetic implications
The overall topology of phylogeny of Cicadidae based on antennal characters using PAUP, WinClada and IQtree analyses is compatible with the classification of previously related studies, but shows that the genus Karenia Distant, 1888 is more allied to the members of CicADinae, and that the tribe Cicadatrini Distant is located in the subfamily Cicadettinae. A new species of the genus Hyalessa (Hemiptera, Cicadidae) from China, with DNA barcoding data and a key to related species.
One new species of the genus Hyalessa China, H. wangi sp. nov., from Yunnan, China is described. Partial mitochondrial COI gene (DNA barcoding) of this new species is sequenced and uploaded toExpand
Review of the cicada genus Platylomia Stål (Hemiptera, Cicadidae) from China, with description and bioacoustics of a new species from Mts. Qinling.
The species of Platylomia Stål from China are reviewed and a new species, P. shaanxiensis sp. n., from Shaanxi, China is described. Acoustic signals produced by males of this new species wereExpand
Review of the cicada genus Paharia Distant (Hemiptera, Cicadidae), with the description of a new species and its allied species
The genus Paharia Distant, 1905 is reviewed based on the description of a new species, Paharia oorschoti  sp. nov., and redescription of the allied Paharia putoni (Distant, 1892), both from Turkey.Expand
Notes on the genus Dendrocerus Ratzeburg (Hymenoptera, Megaspilidae) from China, with description of two new species
Species of the genus Dendrocerus Ratzeburg, 1852 (Hymenoptera: Megaspilidae) from China were studied. Six species are recorded, of which two known species, D. carpenteri (Curtis, 1829) and D.Expand
