With the compound [Zn(HL(1))(2)(Py)] (H(2)L(1)=2-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)-6-methoxyophenol), Py=pyridine) or [Zn(HL(2))(2)(Py)] (H(2)L(2)=2-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)-4-bromo-6-methoxyphenol) as the precursor, complexes [ZnLn(HL(1))(2)(Py)(NO(3))(3)] (Ln=Nd, 1; Ln=Gd, 2) or [ZnLn(HL(2))(2)(Py)(NO(3))(3)] (Ln=Nd, 3; Ln=Gd, 4) were obtained by the further… (More)
Hydrogen bond is a typical noncovalent bond with its strength only one-tenth of a general covalent bond. Because of its easiness to fracture and re-formation, materials based on hydrogen bonds can enable a reversible behavior in their assembly and other properties, which supplies advantages in fabrication and recyclability. In this paper, hydrogen bond… (More)
On the basis of self-assembly from the divinylphenyl-modified Salen-type Schiff-base ligands H2L(1) (N,N'-bis(5-(3'-vinylphenyl)-3-methoxy-salicylidene)ethylene-1,2-diamine) or H2L(2) (N,N'-bis(5-(3'-vinylphenyl)-3-methoxy-salicylidene)phenylene-1,2-diamine) with Zn(OAc)2·2H2O and Ln(NO3)3·6H2O in the presence of pyridine (Py), two series of heterobinuclear… (More)
In the title compound, [Cu(C22H24N2O4)]·H2O, the Cu(II) atom is four-coordinated in a distorted planar geometry with a mean deviation of 0.1164 (2) Å for the plane generated by the ligating atoms of the salen-type Schiff base ligand. In the crystal, O(water)-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form a three-dimensional-network.
Through the self-assembly of the (OH)2-Salophen H4L (H4L=N,N'-bis(3-hydroxylsalicylidene)benzene-1,2-diamine) with LnCl3·6H2O or Ln(NO3)3·6H2O (Ln=La, Yb or Gd) in different solvent systems MeCN-EtOH and MeCN-DMF, the mixed (L)(4-) and (H2L)(2-) coordination modes induce the formation of anion-independent while pseudo-polymorphic homoleptic linear… (More)
The title compound, [Cu(C(20)H(20)N(2)O(2))], crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In each mol-ecule, the Cu(II) atom occupies the tetra-dentate N(2)O(2) cavity of the salen-type Schiff base ligand, adopting a distorted square-planar geometry with r.m.s. deviations of the coordin-ating atoms of 0.0522 (2) and 0.1128 (4) Å. No… (More)
The mol-ecule of the title compound, C(23)H(18)Cl(2)N(4)O, assumes a non-planar conformation in which the pyrazolone ring forms dihedral angles of 32.61 (19), 76.73 (14) and 52.57 (19)° with the three benzene rings. The secondary amino group is involved in an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯O… (More)
Direct white-light (CIE coordinate of x = 0.333, y = 0.335, CCT of 5455 K and CRI of 82) with a high luminous efficiency (18.4%) was achieved in the first example of Eu(3+)-Gd(3+)-containing metallopolymer Poly(2-co-NVK-co-4), which also showed tunable purplish-blue to white to yellow-green photoluminescence.
Three new complexes [Cd(4-pmpmd)1.5 (NO3)2] x CHCl3 (1), [Cd(3-pmpmd)1.5 (NO3)2] x EtOH (2), and [Zn(3-pmpmd)1.5 (NO3)2] x MeOH (3) (3- or 4-pmpmd = N,N'-bis(3- or 4-pyridylmethyl)pyromellitic diimide) containing T-shaped building blocks have been obtained from reactions between the long semirigid ligands 3- or 4-pmpmd and either cadmium or zinc nitrate. 1… (More)
