Genome-wide association study for vitiligo identifies susceptibility loci at 6q27 and the MHC
The study provides new insights into the genetic basis of vitiligo and identified one previously undescribed risk locus at 6q27, which contains three genes: RNASET2, FGFR1OP and CCR6.
Induction of T‐cell‐mediated skin disease specific for antigen transgenically expressed in keratinocytes
It is concluded that the transgenic mice system provides a useful model for autoimmune skin diseases and will aid understanding of the pathomechanism of drug eruption, viral exanthema, and graft‐versus‐host disease.
Genome-wide association study identifies two new susceptibility loci for atopic dermatitis in the Chinese Han population
This study identifies new genetic susceptibility factors and suggests previously unidentified biological pathways in atopic dermatitis, which is a chronic, relapsing form of inflammatory skin disorder that is affected by genetic and environmental factors.
Protective effects of green tea extracts on photoaging and photommunosuppression
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate whether the sunscreen‐containing 2–5% green tea extracts (GTEs) protect ultraviolet irradiation (UVR)‐induced photoaging and photoimmunosuppression.
The Prevalence of Vitiligo: A Meta-Analysis
A relatively high prevalence of vitiligo was found in Africa area and in female patients and it showed an inverse trend with age increment in population- or community- based studies and hospital-based studies.
Treatment and mortality rate of bullous pemphigoid in China: a hospital-based study.
Multivariate analysis revealed that increased age, bedridden condition, presence of cerebrovascular diseases at diagnosis, pre-existing cardiopathy and low serum albumin level were associated with the elevated 1-year mortality rate of BP.
The application of nanoemulsion in dermatology: an overview
An overview of the application of NEs in dermatology during the latest 5 years is provided, showing good stability, stable physical and chemical properties.
Fractional CO2 lasers contribute to the treatment of stable non-segmental vitiligo
The treatment protocol with ablative CO2 lasers, in combination with topical betamethasone solution and NB-UVB, was suitable for stable non-segmental vitiligo.
