Automatic detection of rumor on Sina Weibo
This is the first study on rumor analysis and detection on Sina Weibo, China's leading micro-blogging service provider, and examines an extensive set of features that can be extracted from the microblogs, and trains a classifier to automatically detect the rumors from a mixed set of true information and false information. Monitoring k-nearest neighbor queries over moving objects
This work proposes two efficient and scalable algorithms using grid indices based on indexing objects and queries for k-nearest neighbor queries over moving objects within a geographic area, and shows that these algorithms significantly outperform R-tree-based solutions. Expand
Modeling and Predicting the Helpfulness of Online Reviews
This paper shows that the helpfulness of a review depends on three important factors: the reviewerpsilas expertise, the writing style of the review, and the timeliness of thereview, and presents a nonlinear regression model for helpfulness prediction. Expand
ARSA: a sentiment-aware model for predicting sales performance using blogs
ARSA is presented, an autoregressive sentiment-aware model, to utilize the sentiment information captured by S-PLSA for predicting product sales performance and is compared with alternative models that do not take into account the sentiment Information. Expand
Model-based Clustering of Short Text Streams
An improved algorithm of MStream with forgetting rules called MStreamF, which can efficiently delete outdated documents by deleting clusters of outdated batches and can achieve better performance than three baselines on several real datasets are proposed. Expand
The fuzzy core in games with fuzzy coalitions
In this paper, the fuzzy core of games with fuzzy coalition is proposed, which can be regarded as the generalization of crisp core. The fuzzy core is based on the assumption that the total worth of aExpand
Combining integrated sampling with SVM ensembles for learning from imbalanced datasets
It is shown that SVMs may suffer from biased decision boundaries, and that their prediction performance drops dramatically when the data is highly skewed, and an integrated sampling technique is proposed that outperforms individual SVMs as well as several other state-of-the-art classifiers. Expand
Query segmentation using conditional random fields
This paper addresses the problem of keyword query segmentation, i.e., how to group nearby keywords in a query into segments, based on Conditional Random Fields (CRF), and provides a principled statistical model that can be learned from query logs and easily adapt to user preferences. Expand
NLPMM: A Next Location Predictor with Markov Modeling
A Next Location Predictor with Markov Modeling (NLPMM) which has the following advantages: it is effective even when the trajectory data is sparse, it considers the time factor and builds models that are suited to different time periods. Expand

A generalized form of fuzzy game is proposed that can be seen as an extension of the cooperative fuzzy game and most of the properties of a crisp game hold well in the proposed fuzzy game. Expand
