Eremophilane Sesquiterpenes from a Deep Marine-Derived Fungus, Aspergillus sp. SCSIOW2, Cultivated in the Presence of Epigenetic Modifying Agents
Three new eremophilane-type sesquiterpenes, dihydrobipolaroxin A, B, C, and D were isolated from the culture treated with a combination of histone deacetylase inhibitor (suberohydroxamic acid) and DNA methyltransferase inhibitor and exhibited moderate nitric oxide inhibitory activities without cytotoxic effects.

The results showed that the flavonoid-rich extracts from the flowers of P. ostii had strong scavenging capacities on 2,2′-Azinobis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonate) (ABTS), hydroxyls, superoxide anions, and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals in a dose-dependent manner.
Two new lignans with antioxidative activities from Jatropha curcas
Activity-guided isolation of dried seeds of Jatropha curcas L. led to the isolation of two new lignans along with eight known compounds, of which 1 and 2 were new compounds.
