The Transformation Suppressor Pdcd4 Is a Novel Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4A Binding Protein That Inhibits Translation
A yeast two-hybrid analysis revealed that Pdcd4 associates with the eukaryotic translation initiation factors eIF4AI and eIF 4AII, and the mechanism by which PdCD4 inhibits translation appears to involve inhibition of eif4A helicase, interference with eIF2A association-dissociation from eIF3G, and inhibition ofeIF4A binding to the C-terminal domain of eIF5G.
Endometriotic stromal cells lose the ability to regulate cell-survival signaling in endometrial epithelial cells in vitro.
The inability of ectopic endometriotic stromal cells to regulated PI3K/AKt/Survivin signaling and mediate the progesterone response in endometiotic epithelial cells may facilitate epithelial cell proliferation inendometriosis and promote the survival of endometRIotic lesions.
Theoretical modeling of relative humidity on contact electrification of sand particles
The effect of the water film in the charge transfer model is introduced and the actual situations of the sand particles in the collision process are considered and the predicted results agree well with the law obtained in existing experiments qualitatively.
A Rare Duplication on Chromosome 16p11.2 Is Identified in Patients with Psychosis in Alzheimer's Disease
This case report is the first suggestion that 16p11.2 duplication is also linked to AD+P, and although rare, this CNV may have an important role in the development of psychosis.
Genetically modified adenoviral vector with the protein transduction domain of Tat improves gene transfer to CAR-deficient cells
PTD.AdeGFP significantly improved gene transfer to multiple cell types deficient in expression of CAR and was able to transduce target cells in a dynamin-independent pathway, which would be valuable in gene-function analysis and for gene therapy in cancer.
Friction-Induced Transformation from Graphite Dispersed in Esterified Bio-Oil to Graphene
Fabricating high-quality graphene with simple methods has aroused considerable interests in recent years. In this paper, graphite was dispersed in esterified bio-oil as a lubricant for steel/gray
Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 activity is required for T cell activation and induction of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis
Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 drives T cell activation and disease in EAE in part by regulating the actin binding protein coronin 1a.
