The Committee has tried to avoid giving rigid rules that would constrain judgement on the management of individual patients differing in their personal, medical and cultural characteristics. Expand
Lornoxicam, a new potent NSAID with an improved tolerability profile.
TLDR
The clinical trials published so far clearly demonstrate the efficacy of lornoxicam as a potent analgesic with excellent antiinflammatory properties in a range of painful and/or inflammatory conditions, including postoperative pain and rheumatoid arthritis. Expand

TLDR
This issue focuses on the following selection of drugs: (Z)-4-Hydroxytamoxifen, [18F]-FPS, and the most recent clinical trials in current literature and congresses. Expand
Ramosetron, a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist for the control of nausea and vomiting.
TLDR
In clinical trials, ramostreon was at least as effective as the reference "setrons" against nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy or surgical interventions, but the efficacy was well maintained during a 48-h period, so that efficacy was significantly higher with ramosetron in terms of nausea and vomit 6-48 h after treatment. This issue focuses on the following selection of drugs: 101M. Expand
ATP release from pure cholinergic synaptosomes is not blocked by tetanus toxin
TLDR
It is found that there is no action of TeTx on the nucleotide release, and TeTx blocks ACh release without modifying ATP release, suggesting that cholinergic nerve terminals are stimulated and there is a release of ATP associated with the release of ACh. Expand
Brivudine: a herpes virostatic with rapid antiviral activity and once-daily dosing.
TLDR
At a dose of 125 mg once daily, brivudine has proved to be superior to aciclovir with respect to reducing the period of new blister production in patients with herpes-zoster, and has shortened the duration of post-herpetic neuralgia. Expand
A report from the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2011 (November 12-16, 2011, Orlando, Florida, USA).
