Amphiplicatus metriothermophilus gen. nov., sp. nov., a thermotolerant alphaproteobacterium isolated from a hot spring.
It is suggested that strain GU51(T) represents a novel species of a new genus in the family 'Parvularculaceae', for which the name Amphiplicatus metriothermophilus gen. nov. is proposed.
Effect of Hyperosmotic Stress on the Growth, Development and STK1 Expression of Setosphaeria turcica
【Objective】The objective of this study is to measure the effect of hyperosmotic stress on the growth and development of Setosphaeria turcica,to analyze whether or not the glycerol is one of the
Phylogenetic relationships of Hynobiidae based on sequences of mitochondrial 16S ribosomal RNA gene
The molecular results support that B tibetanus, B pinchonii and B karlschmidti are classified into three valid species and reveal that Pseudohynobius flavomaculatus is not a synonym of Ranodon tsinpaensis.
Study on the Bradybaenid Landsnails in NW Sichuan (Gastropoda:Pulmonata:Stylommatophora)
A new species Pseudiberus (Pseudiberus) maoensis sp.nov.was proposed, and the first dissection study was carried out upon Bradybaena (Bradybaena) pseudocampylaea (Moellendorff),Bradybaena (Bradybaena)
Evaluation on toxicity and safety of chlorpyrifos to environmental organisms
The toxicity of chlorpyrifos to 8 species of environmental organisms was studied and the safety evaluated, according to 'Experimental Guideline for Environmental Safety Evaluation of Chemical
Studies on Differential Gene Expression of Maize (Zea mays L.) by Means of cDNA-AFLP Technique
The results indicated that there were many patterns of gene expression, including gene overexpression and gene silencing in high heterosis combination, more than that in low one whatever at seedling stage or elongation stage of tassel vegetative cone.
STK1, a MAP kinase gene from Setosphaeria turcica, confers preferable tolerance to sodium salt stress
Transformants with STK1 are more tolerant of 1 M NaCl than the wild-type strains based on the growth rate test and determination of intracellular glycerol concentration and the signal transduction pathway may be similar between S. turcica and S. cerevisiae, in which  STK1 plays a key function in resistance to environmental stress.
Molecular marker heterozygosity and its relationship to hybrid performance in seventeen elite maize inbreds
It is suggested that RAPDs can be used to reveal relationships among maize inbred, and divided inbred lines into different group and thus provides a method for parent mating and molecular marker assisted breeding.
Isolation and exopolysaccharide screening of halophiles from Zhoushan Islands
The results indicated that the communities of halophiles are widely distributed in Zhoushan Islands and possess diversity.
