A typical case of arthritis in the knee joint of a 49-year-old man caused by tick bite is reported. Based on this case report the manifestations of arthritis after erythema chronicum migrans so far published in literature are described.
An attempt was made to diagnose a dermatological alteration that can be noticed in an oil painting by Rubens in the Museo Castelvecchio, Verona.
Using an oil painting by G.F. Watts displayed in the National Portrait Gallery of London, we made an attempt to diagnose the dermatological alterations recognizable.
The attempt was made to register differential dermatological diagnosis in the right-hand section and the centrepiece of the "Sebastiansaltar" by Holbein the Elder in the Alte Pinakothek, Munich. Obviously the paintings show cases of lepromatous leprosy.
At three works of art in possession of the Germanic National Museum, Nürnberg, the attempt was made of diagnosing dermatologic alternations. The three paintings show naevi pigmentosi, basaliomas and varicosis.
