A novel experimental heme oxygenase-1-targeted therapy for hormone-refractory prostate cancer.
Immunohistochemical analysis of prostate tissue using a progression tissue microarray from patients with localized PCA and across several stages of disease progression revealed a significant elevation of HO-1 expression in cancer epithelial cells, but not in surrounding stromal cells, from hormone-refractory PCA compared with hormone-responsivePCA and benign tissue.

This review highlights the male infertility mechanism caused by diabetes from the effects of oxidative stress and autophagy on the function of testes via the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, and highlights that oxidative stress-induced autophile breaks the feedforward loop linking Nrf2 and p62 and promotes oxidative damage in diabetic testes.

A nomogram that combined age, race, tumor location, marital status, tumor size, TNM stage, tumor grade, and surgery was constructed for predicting cancer-specific survival in pancreatic cancer and effectively predicts survival in patients with PC.
