Two G F C Generic Flow Control protocols are currently under study within the CCITT, namely the BTTNTT proposal and the Australian proposal. In this paper, their basic operating principles are recalled. Then, since it has been recognized in earlier studies that Cell Delay V ariation, or more precisely cell clumping, has a major impact on peak cell rate… (More)
The creation and deployment of a service by a telecommunication operator is a complex activity where functional correctness and performance issues are equally critical. We thus promote a methodology that associates rigorous system definition and performance analysis throughout the entire design process, based on the guaranteed availability of analysis… (More)
We present a tool that automatically translates UML2 models of service-oriented systems to models for performance evaluation by a commercial simulator. The strength of our tool lies in its support for complex behaviors, which is made possible by a rich intermediate metamodel with clear operational semantics.
