Endophytic bacterium ETR-B22 was found to exhibit strong antagonistic activity against 12 fungal pathogens found in agriculture and its VOCs showed broad-spectrum antifungal activity, suggesting high potential for use as biological controls of plantFungal pathogens.

MBE significantly increased the survival rate of oxidized low-density lipoprotein- induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and significantly decreased the intracellular reactive oxygen species, suggesting that the extracts of Jialing 20 mulberry branches could be used as a functional food additive.
Large-scale Cultivation of Spirulina in Seawater Based Culture Medium
It is shown that outdoor cultivation of Spirulina in seawater has potential for industrial production without involving valuable farm land, employing less expensive culture medium which can be recycled and giving higher yield and higher quality products.
