Clinical studies with recommendations for retarding the development of central Posterior Capsule Opacification are summarized and experiments with pharmacological agents broadly categorized as anti-inflammatory, immuno-modulating, antiproliferative, antiadhering, antitransdifferentiating agents for the prevention of PCO are discussed.
