Resistance to rice root-knot nematode Meloidogyne graminicola identified in Oryza longistaminata and O. glaberrima
An initial population of 6000 J2/plant was inoculated to cuttings of the African rice species and 5-day-old seedlings of O. sativa to identify sources of resistance to Meloidogyne graminicola, finding three entries were susceptible to the rice root-knot nematode.
Observations on the origin of phaseolus polyanthus Greenman
The results suggest that there is a single gene pool domesticated from a wild ancestor still present in Guatemala, and distributed afterwards to the northern Andes, but with a clinal genetic drift from Mesoamerica to the Andean region.

The genetic variability of seven Phaseolus taxa has been evaluated on the basis of molecular data and the results have used to clarify the phyletic relationships between several taxa of the P. coccineus L. complex, favour the hypothesis of a common phylogeny for P. vulgaris, P. polyanthus and P. glabellus.
Screening for resistance to Ascochyta blight in populations of Phaseolus coccineus L. and P. polyanthus Greenman
Mise au point d'une technique de culture in vitro d'embryons immatures de Phaseolus
After several trials conceming the salts composition, the sugar rate and the amino acid concentration of different in vitro culture media, a technique has been developed for heart-shaped Phaseolus embryos that allows an average regeneration rate of 30% from the total number of cultivated embryos.

Recommendations are presented on how to strengthen the ethical review process under the upcoming Framework Programme ‘Horizon 2020’, while adequately taking into account the specific requirements of Directive 2010/63/EU.

Biogeographical and molecular observations on Phaseolus glabellus (Fabaceae, Phaseolinae) and its taxonomic status
The wild, red-flowered Phaseolus glabellus is generally considered either as a species of the P. coccineus complex or as a subspecies of P. coccineus. Biogeographic considerations as well as…
