Arthropods Inhabiting Rodent Burrows in the Karakum Desert

Communities of arthropods were studied in the Repetek Reserve (Karakum Desert) in burrows of desert rodents Rhombomys opimus, Spermophilopsis leptodactylus, Meriones meridianus, and M. libycus, finding more than 500 species of burrow-inhabiting arthropod possessing various degrees of ecological specialization.
