In experiments with gamma-irradiated (dose of 7.0 Gy) and burned (III-B grade, 10% skin injury) hybrid mice the haemopoietic effect (1.5-2-fold increase) of low-intensity laser irradiation (LILI) has been detected. At the same time there was no effect of LILI on normal animals.
The purpose of this work was to examine the relationship between the antiaggregatory activity of the vascular wall and the metastatic spread of experimental tumors. The study was concerned with the effects of brown seaweeds on hemostasis and sarcoma M-1 growth in rats. Laminaria japonica and focus were shown to exert anticoagulant action to inhibit carcinogenesis. They may be used for adjuvant therapy of tumors.
