Characterization of Dynamic Behaviour of MCF7 and MCF10A Cells in Ultrasonic Field Using Modal and Harmonic Analyses
Combined ultrasonic treatment and chemotherapy with paclitaxel showed a significantly increased killing of MCF7 cells compared to both monotherapies, and was able to determine for the first time for different tumour cell lines a specific frequency of low-intensity ultrasound for induction of cell ablation. Investigations in mice on the potentiation of resistance to infections by a new immunostimulant compound.
BM 12.531, a new immunostimulant compound, increased the resistance of mice to infection with Candida albicans and among mice with acute Escherichia coli infection, a synergistic effect of chloramphenicol and BM 12. Expand
Cytotoxicity of thioether-lysophospholipids in leukemias and tumors of human origin.
Ester-linked 2-lysophosphatidylcholine was ineffective in the same dose range, which points to the requirement of the alkyl moiety in SN1 of the molecule for the antineoplastic properties of lysophospholipid analogues. Expand
Enzymatic aziridine synthesis from β amino-alcohols—a new example of endogenous carcinogen formation
BETA aminoalcohols are not only used as drugs, such as ephedrine, chloramphenicol or pronethalol, but also occur naturally in animals and man, as adrenaline and noradrenaline, for example. It wouldExpand
Antineoplastic activity of the thioether lysophospholipid derivative BM 41.440 in vitro
To assess putative antileukemic selectivity, the cytotoxicity (trypan blue dye exclusion) of TLP was compared in human cell samples of 19 non-neoplastic bone marrows and 9 leukemias and revealed a significantly higher activity of the TLP BM 41.440 in leukemic blasts. Expand
Carcinostatic action of 2-cyanaziridines against a sarcoma in rats.
The carcinostatic action of two 2-cyanaziridines against a sarcoma in rats is described and their properties are compared to those of the unsubstituted aziridine. Expand

  • 1 November 1978
It was demonstrated that BM 12.531 can modulate the immune system in animals (DTH lymphocyte transformation, etc) and can restore the immune response in animals, where this has been suppressed by cyclophosphamide. Expand

  • 1975
The carcinostatic effect of the hitherto unknown N-(2-cyanethylene) urea is descirbed. The possible mode of action as an asparagine antimetabolite is discussed.

2-Cyan-1-[(2-methoxy-6-methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-methyl]-aziridine (BM 41.332), a derivative of the immuno-stimulant group of 2-cyanaziridines, showed a therapeutic action in adjuvant arthritis in theExpand
Animal experiments on the compensation of the immunosuppressive action of cyclophosphamide by 2-[-2-cyanaziridinyl-(1)-]-2-[-2-carbamoylaziridinyl-(1)]-propane BM 12 531.
BM U2 531, the further development of BM 06 002 is able to compensate the immunosuppressive action of cyclophosphamide and to increase the carcinostatic action of Cycloph phosphamide. Expand
