The conventional gel-based, heminested detection method was adapted for the C-prM protocol for detecting and serotyping dengue viruses and was found to be more sensitive than the NS5 or the 3′NC protocol.
Molecular epidemiology and emergence of worldwide epidemic clones of Neisseria meningitidis in Taiwan
Serogroups A, B, C, W135, Y, and non-serogroupable Neisseria meningitidis were, respectively, responsible for 2%, 50%, 2%, 35%, 9%, and 2% of 158 culture-confirmed cases of meningococcal disease in 1996–2002.

Fever Screening at Airports and Imported Dengue
Results obtained by capture immunoglobulin (Ig) M and IgG enzyme-linked immunoassay, real time 1-step polymerase chain reaction, and virus isolation showed that 33 (82.5%) of 40 patients were viremic, which can quickly identify imported dengue cases.
