The task of this interdisciplinary Polish-Norwegian project is development of radar technology for care services. The project has mainly an exploratory design where the capabilities of radar technology are tested out, related to elderly or disabled people living in their own home. A system for preventing and detecting falls, or detecting other potential(More)
In this work, we present experimental results on microwave propagation in the 2.4 GHz band in both seawater and freshwater. Measurements are carried out in a water tank by using well-known dipole antennas. We demonstrate that averaged channel gain values can be modeled by linear regression functions when they are represented in dB units along the distance.(More)
Accuracy awareness of electromagnetic modeling and analysis plays an important role in designs where strict control of parameters is needed. The examined structure is a Lange coupler made in MMIC technology. An additional feature of the coupler is the use of meander lines, resulting from practical layout space limitations. Due to strong coupling, the(More)
