It is reported that DCD-mediated H2S production enhances plant Cd tolerance in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana), and the expression of DCD was stimulated by Cd stress, and this up-regulation was mediated by a Cd-induced transcription factor, WRKY13, which bound to the DCD promoter.

Results indicated that in IAA8::GFP-mIAA8 plants, JA biosynthetic genes including DAD1, AOS, and ORP3 were dramatically down-regulated and JA level in the flowers was reduced to 70 % of that in wild-type.

These results demonstrate that SRS5 directly activates the expression of downstream genes HY5, BBX21, and BBX22 and is a target of COP1-mediated degradation in Arabidopsis, and indicates that S RS5 is a positive regulator of photomorphogenesis.

The results suggest that agonists of D1 dopamine receptor could reduce the concentration of glutamic acid in hippocampus, and its antidepressant effect may be mediated by AMPA receptor partially.
