This contribution is an asymptotic analysis of the algorithms proposed in 1]. The algorithms proposed in 1] treats the problem of time delay estimation in an asynchronous direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system in a near-far scenario.
The problem of estimating the sent bits in a DS-CDMA system using BPSK when the time-delays are not exactly known is considered. A minimum mean squared error detector is obtained for the system. It is shown that the performance is improved when the assumption of using an exact time-delays is dropped.
In this paper near-far resistant multiuser-detectors for an asynchronous direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system, which do not need the code-matched lter outputs from all users are presented.
