Investigation of population structure and reproductive characteristics of M. amazonicum from two important areas to artisanal prawn fishing located at the mouth of the Amazon River, State of Amapa and Santana Island and Mazagao Velho showed females predominated in the population.

It was concluded that PHF provided the highest compelling palatability for Nile tilapia juveniles, by displaying a 10.82% increase of thePalatability index, 17% of final feed consumption, and presented a rejection number 6.89 times lower than FPE.
Natural diet and feeding habits of a freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium carcinus: Crustacea, Decapoda) in the estuary of the Amazon River
The results indicated that M. carcinus can be considered omnivorous species, but with an important carnivorous component, similar to that found in other Macrobrachium species.
Fish protein hydrolysate in diets for Nile tilapia post-larvae
The objective of this work was to determine the apparent digestibility coefficient (ADC) of crude protein, crude energy, fat, and dry matter of fish protein hydrolysate (FPH), made of by-products of…
Impact of Cafeteria Diet on the Composition of Fatty Acids in Zebrafish (Danio rerio) Fillets
The zebrafish (Danio rerio) has emerged as a promising model for inducing obesity in animals and the CAF diet presented higher total lipid and energy values than ST diet, due to the addition of peanut, chocolate and biscuit in its preparation.
Brachyuran crustaceans from the bycatch of prawn fisheries at the mouth of the Amazon river

The Brachyura bycatch associated with the artisan prawn fisheries at the mouth of the Amazon River showed a considerably lower biomass when compared to the prawns, representing only 5% of the catch, in a ratio of 1:0.06.
Induction time of anesthesia and recovery of benzocaine to patinga (Piaractus mesopotamicus x Piaractus brachypomus)
Effect of peanut addition to the cafeteria diet on adiposity and inflammation in zebrafish (Danio rerio)
It is suggested that the addition of peanut in the CAF diet can control weight gain, the inflammatory markers and lipid metabolism in zebrafish model.
Fatty Acid Incorporation in the Muscle, Oxidative Markers, Lipid Peroxidation and PPAR-α and SREBP-2 Expression of Zebrafish Fed Linseed Oil and Clove Leaf Essential Oil.
The objective of this study is to assess, in zebrafish, the effects of combining linseed oil (LO) and clove leaf essential oil (CLEO) on the incorporation of fatty acids in the muscle, oxidative…
