Second-order mappings obtained as reductions of integrable lattice equations are generally expected to have integrals that are ratios of biquadratic polynomials, i.e., to be of QRT-type. In this paper we find reductions of integrable lattice equations that are not of this type. The mappings we consider are exact reductions of integrable lattice equations… (More)
The present communication reports some medicinal plants which are used as Central Nervous System sedative agent in the traditional system of medicine.
Leaves of Atalantia monophylla are used in chronic rheumatism and paralysis. The Pharmacognostical studies like histological characters, leaf constants, ash values and extractive values of leaves of Atalantia monophylla Corr were carried out. The preliminary phytochemical analysis were also carried out.
A simple, rapid and reliable HPTLC method has been developed for simultaneous estimation of Chebulagic acid and Chebulinic acid in marketed polyherbal formulations. Identification and quantification were performed on 10cm x 10cm, layer thickness 0.2mm, aluminumbacked silica gel 60 F254 HPTLC plates previously washed with methanol. The solvent system… (More)

— We examine the family of discrete Painlevé equations which were introduced under the qualifier of “alternate”. We show that there exists a transformation between the two canonical forms of these equations, and we proceed to link these forms to the contiguity relations of the continuous PVI. We describe the full degeneration cascade of this contiguity,… (More)
Many traditional Indian medicinal plants which contain large quantity of a secoiridoid, swertiamarin are being used to relieve pain. Iridoids present in a wide variety of medicinal plants possess a large number of medicinal properties. In the present study in vivo antinociceptive activity of swertiamarin isolated from E. axillare was carried out using three… (More)
A simple, rapid and reliable HPTLC method has been developed for simultaneous estimation of gallic acid and rutin in polyherbal formulations. Identification and quantification were performed on 20 cm x 10 cm, layer thickness 0.2 mm, aluminumbacked silica gel 60 F254 HPTLC plates previously washed with methanol. Toluene: Acetone: Ethyl Acetate: Formic Acid:… (More)
