- BiologyProtein Science
- 1 August 2009
Three‐dimensional structures for the leucine‐rich repeat ectodomains of human TLR7, 8, and 9 are developed based on homology modeling that support previously reported essential ligand‐binding residues and provide a basis to identify three potential receptor dimerization mechanisms.
A Wheat SIMILAR TO RCD-ONE Gene Enhances Seedling Growth and Abiotic Stress Resistance by Modulating Redox Homeostasis and Maintaining Genomic Integrity[C][W]

It is shown here that the wheat SRO has PARP activity; such activity could be manipulated to improve the growth of seedlings exposed to salinity stress by modulating redox homeostasis and maintaining genomic stability.
Structural insight of a concentration-dependent mechanism by which YdiV inhibits Escherichia coli flagellum biogenesis and motility
- Bingqing Li, Ning Li, L. Gu
- Biology, ChemistryNucleic Acids Research

YdiV inhibits FlhD4C2 only at relatively high concentrations, and its structure and the negative staining electron microscopy reconstruction of YdiV4–FlhD 4C2 suggested that the third and fourth Y diV molecule bound to the Flh D4C 2 complex through squeezing into the ring-like structure of Flhd4C1 between the two internal D subunits, and the complex lost DNA-binding ability.
Crystal Structure and Biochemical Features of EfeB/YcdB from Escherichia coli O157
- Xiuhua Liu, Q. Du, L. Gu
- ChemistryJournal of Biological Chemistry
- 15 February 2011
Biochemical data show that the production of protoporphyrin IX (PPIX) is closely related to the peroxidation activity, and dramatically enhanced fluorescence excitation and emission of EfeB-PPIX was observed, implying this protein may be used as a red color fluorescence marker.

Lack of SIGIRR/TIR8 aggravates hydrocarbon oil‐induced lupus nephritis
- M. Lech, V. Skuginna, H. Anders
- BiologyJournal of Pathology
- 1 April 2010
TIR8/SIGIRR protects from hydrocarbon oil‐induced lupus by suppressing the TLR7‐mediated activation of dendritic cells, via its intracellular BB loop.
Evolution of the IL17 receptor family in chordates: a new subfamily IL17REL
- Baojun Wu, Meng Jin, Yi Zhang, T. Wei, Zengliang Bai
- BiologyImmunogenetics
- 6 July 2011
Sequence and structure analyses reveal functional similarities and distinctions between the different IL17Rs, and a group of IL17RE-like proteins were identified from mammalians to lower vertebrates, indicating that IL17REL may represent a unique subfamily of IL 17Rs.
The REC domain mediated dimerization is critical for FleQ from Pseudomonas aeruginosa to function as a c-di-GMP receptor and flagella gene regulator.
