Metaphosphate: A New Phosphoryl Donor for NAD Phosphorylation
A new nicotinamid adenine dinucleotide (NAD) kinase which synthesizes nicotinamid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) from NAD and metaphosphate was found in some microorganisms. The activity of…
TMC-52A to D, novel cysteine proteinase inhibitors, produced by Gliocladium sp.
- K. Isshiki, M. Nishio, N. Sakurai, T. Uchida, T. Okuda, S. Komatsubara
- Chemistry, MedicineThe Journal of antibiotics
- 25 July 1998
New cysteine proteinase inhibitors were isolated from the fungal fermentation broth and Spectroscopic analyses and chemical degradation have shown TMC-52A to D to be epoxysuccinyl peptides.
[Synthesis of 10,11-dihydrodibenzo (b,f)thiepin derivatives].
Continuous production of NADP by immobilized Achromobacter aceris cells
- T. Uchida, T. Watanabe, J. Kato, I. Chibata
- Chemistry, MedicineBiotechnology and bioengineering
- 1 February 1978
Several microorganisms having higher nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide kinase (NAD kinase) activity were immobilized into polyacrylamide gel lattices and enzymic properties of the immobilized A. aceris cells were investigated and compared with those of intact cells.
Quantitative determination of oxidized pyridine nucleotides by a paper chromatographic technique.
The present method is as accurate as the enzymatic method and is believed to be advantageous for the quantitative determination of oxidized pyridine nucleotides in a large number of samples.
Polyphosphate Kinase: Distribution, Some Properties and Its Application as an ATP Regeneration System
The distribution and some properties of polyphosphate kinase, that catalyzes the formation of polyphosphate from ATP, were investigated. High enzyme activity was found in Alcaligenes faecalis,…
Production of flavine-adenine dinucleotide from riboflavine by a mutant of Sarcina lutea.
It was found that this strain could convert exogenously supplemented riboflavine to extracellular FAD and was readily isolated by adsorption chromatography and ion-exchange chromatography in a 70% yield.
TMC-1 A, B, C and D, new antibiotics of the manumycin group produced by Streptomyces sp. Taxonomy, production, isolation, physico-chemical properties, structure elucidation and biological properties.
- J. Kohno, M. Nishio, +4 authors S. Komatsubara
- Biology, MedicineThe Journal of antibiotics
- 25 December 1996
Four new antitumor antibiotics, TMC-1 A, B, C and D were isolated from a fermentation broth of Streptomyces sp. A-230. Spectroscopic studies have shown that TMC-1 A to D were new members of the…
Aurantiamide Acetate, a Selective Cathepsin Inhibitor, Produced by Aspergillus penicilloides
- K. Isshiki, Y. Asai, +5 authors N. Sakurai
- Biology, MedicineBioscience, biotechnology, and biochemistry
- 1 January 2001
Aurantiamide acetate was isolated from the fermentation broth of Aspergillus penicilloides for the first time and in the adjuvant-arthritic rat model, subcutaneously administered 10 mg/kg body weight of this compound suppressed hind paw swelling.
Continuous production ofL‐isoleucine using immobilized growing Serratia marcescens cells
An immobilized growing cell system was applied to the continuous L‐isoleucine production by Serratia marcescens and exhibited high and stable activity for isoleucines production under steady‐state conditions using the carrageenan gel method.
