Altered growth of human colon cancer cell lines disrupted at activated Ki-ras.
The activated Ki-ras gene plays a key role in colorectal tumorigenesis through altered cell differentiation and cell growth.
A functional variant in FCRL3, encoding Fc receptor-like 3, is associated with rheumatoid arthritis and several autoimmunities
A SNP in the promoter region of FCRL3, a member of the Fc receptor-like family, that is associated with susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis is identified and this polymorphism alters the binding affinity of nuclear factor-κB and regulatesFCRL3 expression.
The clinical significance of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) allele compatibility in patients receiving a marrow transplant from serologically HLA-A, HLA-B, and HLA-DR matched unrelated donors.
The role of the HLA class I allele in unrelated bone marrow transplantation was elucidated, and Notably, HLA-C alleles had a different mode from Hla-A or -B alleles for acute GVHD and survival.

It is found that the spike protein of SARS-CoV (SARS-S) induced TNF-α-converting enzyme (TACE)-dependent shedding of the ACE2 ectodomain, and this data suggest that cellular signals triggered by the interaction of Sars- coV with ACE2 are positively involved in viral entry but lead to tissue damage.
Nomenclature for factors of the HLA system, 2010
This report documents the additions and revisions to the nomenclature of HLA specificities following the principles established in previous reports.
Mutations in the cardiac troponin I gene associated with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Family studies showed that an Arg145Gly mutation was linked to HCM and a Lys206Gln mutation had occurred de novo, thus strongly suggesting that cTnl is the seventh HCM gene, and systematically characterized the cardiac sarcomere genes.
Mutant ras oncogenes upregulate VEGF/VPF expression: implications for induction and inhibition of tumor angiogenesis.
The results suggest that dominantly acting ras oncogenes may contribute to the growth of solid tumors in vivo not only by a direct effect on tumor cell proliferation but also indirectly, i.e., by facilitating tumor angiogenesis.
Opposing Effects of Ras on p53 Transcriptional Activation of mdm2 and Induction of p19ARF
4E-BP1 is a key effector of the oncogenic activation of the AKT and ERK signaling pathways that integrates their function in tumors.
Effect of matching of class I HLA alleles on clinical outcome after transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells from an unrelated donor. Japan Marrow Donor Program.
Genomic typing of class I HLA alleles adds substantially to the success of transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells from unrelated donors, even if the donors are serologically identical to their recipients with respect to HLA-A, B, and DR antigens.
