In the world's largest hypersaline lagoon Bay Sivash, its ecosystem twice transformed from a previous state to a new one due to human intervention. Before the North Crimean Canal construction, it was…

Two new species of the family Microlaimidae Micoletzky, 1922 are described and illustrated from the Black Sea, with the main difference is a shorter body, cuticle finely annulated all over the body and absence of sexual dimorphism in the size of amphideal fovea.
First finding of Greeffiella Cobb, 1922 (Nematoda, Desmoscolecida) in the Black Sea
Black sea specimen is distinguished from the other known species of the genus Greeffiella with the presence of 8 pairs of thicker specific setae along the body, the basis of which looks like a small lamina, but without hairs, which was previously described for G. pierri Schrage & Gerlach, 1975.
Spatio-temporal variability of zooplankton and zoobenthos as the elements of integrated zoocenosis in a marine lake (Crimea, Black Sea): What is a general pattern?

species is found off the coast of Crimea and on the NW shelf of the Black Sea (in areas of Zernov's Phyllophora Field and submarine Dnieper Canyon) at depths from 5 to 190 m on different types of sediment (sandy-silt, dense silt clay and silt with hydrogen sulphide).
