Vegetative reproduction and clonal diversity in Rhytidium rugosum (Rhytidiaceae, Bryopsida) inferred by morpho-anatomical and molecular analyses
- T. Pfeiffer, Sebastian Fritz, M. Stech, W. Frey
- Environmental ScienceJournal of Plant Research
- 4 February 2006
The AFLP analysis revealed close relationships of the plot samples, which suggest a clonal rather than generative (sexual) origin of the population, and also revealed three clones from the two plots, thus proving dispersal of vegetative diaspores.
Characterization of microsatellite loci and reliable genotyping in a polyploid plant, Mercurialis perennis (Euphorbiaceae).
- T. Pfeiffer, A. Roschanski, J. Pannell, G. Korbecka, M. Schnittler
- BiologyThe Journal of heredity
- 1 July 2011
This study demonstrates that microsatellite fingerprinting of polyploid plants is a cost efficient and reliable alternative to AFLPs, not least because fewer loci are required than for diploids.

Heavy Metal-Induced Oxidative Stress in Plants: Response of the Antioxidative System
Plants are equipped with complex enzymatic and nonenzymatic mechanisms involved in antioxidative defense to neutralize HM toxicity, and the main components of these mechanisms will be reviewed in this chapter.

Geomolecular divergence in the Gondwanan dendroid Symphyogyna complex (Pallaviciniaceae, Hepaticophytina, Bryophyta): Studies in austral temperate rain forest bryophytes 22
Phylogenetic relationships within Dendroligotrichum and Polytrichadelphus (Polytrichaceae, Polytrichopsida) in the Palaeoaustral region. Studies in austral temperate rainforest bryophytes 32
Plastid trnT–F and atpB–rbcL spacer sequences as well as AFLP fingerprints are utilised to infer phylogenetic relationships of Dendroligotrichum and Polytrichadelphus taxa (Polytrichaceae) in the…
Application of the nonradioactive biotin–streptavidin system to visualize AFLP fragments
The application of the extremely sensitive nonradioactive biotin–streptavidin system to visualize AFLP fragments blotted onto nylon membranes is described andvantages of this protocol over other non radioactive detection methods are discussed.
Spatial Pattern of Phytoplankton Based on the Morphology‐Based Functional Approach along a River–Floodplain Gradient
Current efforts to yield an appropriate method that would simplify the use of phytoplankton in the ecological evaluation of freshwaters resulted in different approaches based on clustering…
