N-(6-aminohexyl)-5-chloro-1-naphthalenesulfonamide, a calmodulin antagonist, inhibits cell proliferation.
This pharmacological demonstration that cytoplasmic calmodulin is involved in cell proliferation is significant; W-7 and its derivatives may be useful tools for research oncalmodulin and cell biology-related studies.
Purification of membrane polypeptides of rat liver peroxisomes.
The results of immunoblot analysis of subcellular fractions of the liver and an electron microscopic immunocytochemical study to locate the antigenic sites with protein A-gold complex suggest that all of these polypeptides are localized on peroxisomal membranes.
Differential localization of protein kinase C isozymes in retinal neurons
We report the immunohistochemical localization of protein kinase C isozymes (types I, II, and III) in the rabbit retina using the monospecific monoclonal antibodies MC-1a, MC-2a, and MC-3a. Using
Computed tomography and ultrasonography of metastatic cervical lymph nodes in oral squamous cell carcinoma.
Criteria for CT and US in differentiating cervical lymph node metastases in oral squamous cell carcinoma appears clinically more useful than other current methods based on two groups only, despite limitations in detecting metastases.

Immunoelectron microscopy of tissues processed by rapid freezing and freeze-substitution fixation without chemical fixatives: application to catalase in rat liver hepatocytes.
The usefulness of freeze-substituted tissues for immunohistochemical analysis of cell organelles is shown, with the result that the ultrastructure of the hepatocytes was very well preserved compared with that of conventionally processed tissues.
Radioautographic study on DNA synthesis of the retina and retinal pigment epithelium of developing mouse embryos.
The proliferation of both retina and RPE in the central region occurred earlier than those of the peripheral region, and the labeling indices gradually increased in the anterior region, but decreased in the equatorial and the posterior regions through all the developmental stages.
