Floral attractants for Cetoniinae and Rutelinae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae).
TLDR
Cinnamyl alcohol was found to be highly attractive to both these pestiferous beetle subfamilies in field tests and Beta -ionone, 4-(2,6,6-trimethyl-lcyclohexen-l-yl)-3-buten-2-one, was highly attractive and a specific lure for both sexes of A. transvaalensis (Rutelinae).
