Weak oral bacteria, such as periodontal bacteria, may play an important role in the development of various vascular diseases, such as Buerger's disease, atherosclerosis and varicose veins, through bacteremia. Expand
A new, simple method for measuring mucociliary clearance in guinea-pigs.
A new in situ method to measure MCT function was established and found that salbutamol failed to prevent MCT dysfunction in SO2-exposed animals at doses previously shown to accelerate basal MCT rate. Expand
[Studies on bacterial contamination of chlorhexidine coated filaments of the toothbrush].
It was clear that the bacterial contamination of toothbrush was affected by several factors such as the condition of drying, the site of tufts, the using period of Toothbrush and so on. Expand
Significance and actual status of the dissection of paraaortic lymph nodes in the cases with gastric cancer.
It appears altogether that the dissection of paraaortic lymph node No. 16 has considerable significance as prophylactic treatment of gastric cancer. Expand
Eicosapentaenoic Acid and Apoplexy Influence of EPA Loading on SHRSP
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether EPA plays an important role in the incidence of cerebral bleeding in the stroke-prone spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHRSP). Expand

Inhibition of rabbit platelet aggregation by nucleoside 5'-alkylphosphates: correlation with inhibition of agonist-induced calcium influx.
It is suggested that inhibition of calcium influx associated with receptor-mediated platelet activation may be involved in the action of UMPC16. Expand

YM-40461, a potent surfactant secretagogue, improves mucociliary clearance in SO2-exposed guinea pigs.
It is shown that YM-40461 ameliorates MCT dysfunction caused by SO2 exposure by activation of pulmonary surfactant secretion by significantly improved surfactants production without affecting mucus secretion. Expand
