Interleukin-2 receptor beta chain gene: generation of three receptor forms by cloned human alpha and beta chain cDNA's.
- M. Hatakeyama, M. Tsudo, T. Taniguchi
- Biology, ChemistryScience
- 5 May 1989
The cDNA-encoded beta chain binds and internalizes IL-2 when expressed on T lymphoid cells but not fibroblast cells and gives rise to the generation of high-affinityIL-2 receptor when co-expressed with the IL-1R alpha chain cDNA.
The human interleukin-2 receptor beta-chain gene: genomic organization, promoter analysis and chromosomal assignment
- H. Shibuya, M. Yoneyama, T. Taniguchi
- BiologyNucleic Acids Res.
- 11 July 1990
By applying the RFLP linkage analysis, the IL-2R beta gene has been assigned to chromosome 22q12-13 and the 5'-flanking region exhibited constitutive promoter activity when it was linked upstream of the HSV-tk reporter gene and then transfected into YT cells, a human leukemic cell line.

TNF-&agr; activates ECs via multiple signaling pathways, and these pathways may be selectively targeted to modulate EC function, suggesting that TSA might be useful for the attenuation of the inflammatory response in EC.
Direct molecular mass determination of trehalose monomycolate from 11 species of mycobacteria by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry.
- Yukiko Fujita, T. Naka, T. Doi, I. Yano
- Biology, ChemistryMicrobiology
- 1 May 2005
Direct estimation of the molecular mass of single molecular species of trehalose 6-monomycolate (TMM), a ubiquitous cell-wall component of mycobacteria, was performed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry and showed a marked difference in the molecular species composition of TMM among my cobacterial species.

A GATA-specific inhibitor (K-7174) rescues anemia induced by IL-1beta, TNF-alpha, or L-NMMA.
- S. Imagawa, Y. Nakano, Masayuki Yamamoto
- Biology, MedicineThe FASEB Journal
- 2003
The ability of K-7174 (a GATA-specific inhibitor) to improve Epo production when inhibited by treatment with IL-1beta, TNF-alpha, or L-NMMA is examined, raising the possibility of using K- 7174 as therapy to treat anemia.
Essential Role of GATA Transcriptional Factors in the Activation of Mast Cells1
- A. Masuda, Katsunori Hashimoto, T. Matsuguchi
- BiologyJournal of Immunology
- 1 January 2007
The repression of GATA activity in differentiated mast cells led to the impairment of cell survival, IgE-induced degranulation, and cytokine production, and Signal transduction and histone modification in the chromatin related to protein kinase Cβ were defective in these cells.
Binding of a highly potent protease‐activated receptor‐2 (PAR2) activating peptide, [3H]2‐furoyl‐LIGRL‐NH2, to human PAR2
- T. Kanke, H. Ishiwata, R. Plevin
- Biology, ChemistryBritish Journal of Pharmacology

These studies indicate that [3H]2‐furoyl‐LIGRL‐NH2 binds to human PAR2 at its ligand‐binding site, and will be valuable for characterising chemicals that interact to PAR2.
