Examination of material collected by personnel of the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Canada has revealed six new species and five new records of Rhyacophile from Vietnam, distributed among six species groups, four of which are new to Vietnam.

Two new species of the genus Plectrocnemia Stephens are described and illustrated, which belong to the P. tortosa Group and are the sister species of P. appensata Mey from Vietnam.
