Vesicle Origami and the Influence of Cholesterol on Lipid Packing.
The artificial phospholipid Pad-PC-Pad was analyzed in 2D (monolayers at the air/water interface) and 3D (aqueous lipid dispersions) systems and found that cholesterol has an ordering effect on liquid-expanded phases and disorders condensed phases.

Newly synthesized peptide-mimic lysine-based amino-functionalized lipids have been investigated in 2D models as monolayers at the air-liquid interface and it is found that the protonation degree depends linearly on the packing density of the lipid monolayer.
