This paper adresses the important problem of speech detection. It describes the implementation of 3 speech detection methods and compares their performance under different signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and stationarity conditions. The method that dynamically adjusts its thresholds is found to be the most reliable, even under very adverse recording conditions.(More)
