A compact formula for the complete tree-level S-matrix of pure Yang-Mills and gravity theories in arbitrary spacetime dimensions is presented and Gauge invariance is completely manifest as it follows from a simple property of the Pfaffian.
Scattering equations and matrices: from Einstein to Yang-Mills, DBI and NLSM
- F. Cachazo, Song He, E. Y. Yuan
- Mathematics
- 10 December 2014
A bstractThe tree-level S-matrix of Einstein’s theory is known to have a representation as an integral over the moduli space of punctured spheres localized to the solutions of the scattering…
Scattering equations and Kawai-Lewellen-Tye orthogonality
- F. Cachazo, Song He, E. Y. Yuan
- Mathematics
- 27 June 2013
Several recent developments point to the fact that rational maps from $n$-punctured spheres to the null cone of $D$-dimensional momentum space provide a natural language for describing the scattering…
Scattering forms and the positive geometry of kinematics, color and the worldsheet
- N. Arkani-Hamed, Yuntao Bai, Song He, Gongwang Yan
- Mathematics
- 24 November 2017
A bstractThe search for a theory of the S-Matrix over the past five decades has revealed surprising geometric structures underlying scattering amplitudes ranging from the string worldsheet to the…

- F. Cachazo, Song He, E. Y. Yuan
- Mathematics
- 29 September 2014
A bstractWe present the building blocks that can be combined to produce tree-level S-matrix elements of a variety of theories with various spins mixed in arbitrary dimensions. The new formulas for…
Scattering of massless particles: scalars, gluons and gravitons
- F. Cachazo, Song He, E. Y. Yuan
- Mathematics
- 4 September 2013
A bstractIn a recent note we presented a compact formula for the complete tree-level S-matrix of pure Yang-Mills and gravity theories in arbitrary spacetime dimension. In this paper we show that a…
Quantum dimension as entanglement entropy in two dimensional conformal field theories
- Song He, Tokiro Numasawa, T. Takayanagi, Kento Watanabe
- Physics
- 4 March 2014
We study the entanglement entropy of excited states in two-dimensional conformal field theories (CFTs). In particular, we consider excited states obtained by acting on a vacuum with primary…
Scattering in three dimensions from rational maps
- F. Cachazo, Song He, E. Y. Yuan
- Mathematics
- 12 June 2013
A bstractThe complete tree-level S-matrix of four dimensional $ \mathcal{N}=4 $ super Yang-Mills and $ \mathcal{N}=8 $ supergravity has compact forms as integrals over the moduli space of certain…
New double soft emission theorems
- F. Cachazo, Song He, E. Y. Yuan
- Physics
- 16 March 2015
We study the behavior of the tree-level S-matrix of a variety of theories as two particles become soft. By analogy with the recently found subleading soft theorems for gravitons and gluons, we…
Stringy canonical forms
- N. Arkani-Hamed, Song He, T. Lam
- MathematicsJournal of High Energy Physics
- 18 December 2019
Canonical forms of positive geometries play an important role in revealing hidden structures of scattering amplitudes, from amplituhedra to associahedra. In this paper, we introduce “stringy…
