Two new kaurane-type diterpenoids were isolated from the whole plant of Wedelia chinensis and their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses (UV, IR, MS and NMR) and comparison with literature data.

The evidence is provided that tagitinin C induces ferroptosis in colorectal cancer cells and has synergistic effect together with erastin, which may be effective chemosensitizer that can expand the efficacy and range of chemotherapeutic agents.
