This paper presents the performances of a pletysmographic sensor used to measure pulse, integrated in a ZigBee wireless network. The sensor, based on a LED and a photo-transistor and the conditioning circuit and its parameters are presented. The integration in a ZigBee network using a development kit (PICDEM Z) concludes the paper.
This paper aims to investigate the performance of a system consisting of plethysmographic sensors used to measure the human pulse (or heart rate), and ZigBee wireless networks used to collect the data in view of processing and storing. A demo system build around a MICROCHIP development kit (PICDEM Z) is described. Some conclusion derived on the basis of the… (More)
A wireless ad hoc network is typically Constrained by battery power, and hence, it is important to conserve battery power in order to keep the network alive for a long time. We consider a wireless network consisting of an access point (AP) and a wireless node, which is limited by energy, and we seek scheduling algorithms that conserve battery power at the… (More)
