Electrochemical enrichment of microorganisms from a deep fractured-rock aquifer in Death Valley, California, USA is reported, suggesting that additional ‘hidden’ interactions with external electron acceptors are also possible.
Canopy cover affects habitat selection by adult dragonflies
It is found that greater levels of canopy cover resulted in fewer adult visits to mesocosms, and more natural canopy cover decreased the species richness of visitors, suggesting that canopy cover can be an important environmental filter on species distributions.
