Changes in organic C, total N, C:N ratio, activities of cellulase, xylanase and protease, and microbial population were determined during composting of different organic wastes such as mixture of sugarcane trash and cattle dung, press mud, poultry waste and water hyacinth biomass. There were losses of N in poultry waste and water hyacinth with the effect an… (More)
The Conventional acoustic echo canceller encounters problems like slow convergence rate (especially for speech signal) and high computational complexity as the identification of the echo path requires filter with more than a thousand taps, non-stationary speech input, slowly time-varying systems to be identified. The demand for fast convergence and less MSE… (More)
Acoustic Source Localization (ASL) means to estimate the position of the source, emitting sound. It has a wide application area. Based upon the literature survey, ASL techniques have been broadly classified as Time Delay Estimation (TDE), Beamforming, High Spectral Resolution, Energy aware and Binaural based. There are different methods based upon these… (More)
In this paper we represent a new echo canceller using double talk detector that depends on variance impulse response. In this method detection is performed by calculating the variance of maximum value tap of recent tap in adaptive filter. Adaptive filter will stop updating its coefficients during double talk and it will resume updating after double talk.… (More)
We have designed and simulated two techniques for acoustic echo cancellation. These systems are based upon a least-mean-square (LMS) adaptive algorithm and uses multi sub and sub band technique. A comparative study of both methods has been carried out.
An overview of acoustic echo cancellation systems is presented. First the basics of echo’s, type of echo’s , why echo canceller are required and what are the difference between echo canceller are explained then the application where they can be used is discussed.. This paper presents applications of acoustic echo control and shows most recent solutions. For… (More)

The calculation of time delay between a signal and its echo received at a microphone has been proven to be a useful parameter. Speech enhancement, speaker localization, speech and speaker recognition are few applications of TDE methods. We are implementing various methods for the estimation of time delay. These methods are implemented in MATLAB. The reason… (More)
We have designed and simulated an adaptive line enhancer system for conferencing. This system is based upon a leastmean-square (LMS) and recursive adaptive algorithm (RLS) Performance of ALE is compared for LMS&RLS algorithms.
Digital image processing is a subset of the electronic domain wherein the image is converted to an array of small integers, called pixels, representing a physical quantity such as scene radiance, stored in a digital memory, and processed by computer or other digital hardware. The application of median filter has been investigated. As an advanced method… (More)
