Effect of exogenous H2O2 on antioxidant enzymes of Brassica juncea L. seedlings in relation to 24-epibrassinolide under chilling stress.
TLDR
Exogenous pretreatment of H2O2 to seeds of B. juncea L.C. adapted the seedlings to tolerate chilling stress, which was further ameliorated in combination of H1O2 with 24-EBL, which helped in alleviating the toxic effect of H 2O2 through antioxidant defense system.
Inhibition studies of soybean (Glycine max) urease with heavy metals, sodium salts of mineral acids, boric acid, and boronic acids
TLDR
Inhibition studies with sodium salts of mineral acids showed that only F− inhibited soybean urease significantly, and competitive type of inhibition was observed for this anion with a Ki value of 1.30 mM.
Immobilization of Urease from Pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) on Agar Tablets and Its Application in Urea Assay
TLDR
The pigeonpea urease was immobilized on agar, a common gelling substance, and the results were consistent with those from clinical pathology laboratory through an autoanalyzer® (Zydus Co., Rome, Italy).
EVALUATION OF IN VITRO ANTIMICROBIAL POTENTIAL OF ENDOPHYTIC FUNGI ISOLATED FROM EUGENIA JAMBOLANA LAM
TLDR
The results showed that endophytic fungi isolates of Eugenia jambolana with antimicrobial potential could be outstanding source of novel bioactive compounds.
Prevalence and Population Structure of Lice (Phthiraptera) on the Indian Red Avadavat
TLDR
Prevalences of two phthirapteran species on 130 Red Avadavats (Amandava amandava) were 36.2 and 20.8% in the district of Rampur, India, from September to December 2004, which conformed to the expected distribution of the negative binomial model.
Prevalence of phthirapteran ectoparasitic insects on domestic hens of Rampur (U.P.)
TLDR
Significant positive correlation existed between mean monthly prevalence rate and mean monthly temperature as well as photoperiod and the prevalence rate was significantly higher on birds having poor health and poor plumage.
