- Materials ScienceMaterials
- 1 January 2019
Compared with AWC, the expansibility and self-stress of the SSAWC can be easily observed, and the compressive strength ratio of the C30 self-stressed anti-washout underwater concrete casted in water to that casting in air is much bigger, implying that SSA WC is applicable to the nondrainage strengthening.

- 1 August 2013
Because of several unforeseen actions such as the deep excavation and long-term consolidation of ground, the settlement and lateral displacement have become important parameters for shield tunnel.…
Damage Detection and Evaluation for an In-Service Shield Tunnel Based on the Monitored Increment of Neutral Axis Depth Using Long-Gauge Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors
- S. Shen, Huaxin Lv, Sheng-Lan Ma
- Engineering, PhysicsItalian National Conference on Sensors
- 1 April 2019
A damage detection method based on the monitored increment of the neutral axis depth; and an index to evaluate longitudinal damage, composed of the residual ratios of the equivalent flexural stiffness and the equivalent shear stiffness, are proposed.
Evaluation of Prestress Loss Distribution during Pre-Tensioning and Post-Tensioning Using Long-Gauge Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors
- S. Shen, Yao Wang, Sheng-Lan Ma, Di Huang, Zhi-Hong Wu, Xiao Guo
- EngineeringItalian National Conference on Sensors
- 2 November 2018
A new installation method for long-gauge fiber Bragg grating (LFBG) sensors to prevent accidental damage is proposed and the durability of the LFBG sensors was better than foil-strain gauges and the calculated prestress losses were close to those derived from theoretical predictions.

- S. Shen, Shao-fei Jiang
- PhysicsItalian National Conference on Sensors
- 1 August 2018
This paper revises the improved conjugated beam method (ICBM) based on the long-gage fiber Bragg grating (LFBG) sensors to satisfy the requirements for monitoring the two additional deformations in a single-cell box girder and proposes a suitable LFBG sensor placement in abox girder to overcome the influence of strain fluctuation on the flange caused by the shear lag effect.
