Findings indicate that there are indeed certain behavioral characteristics that are common among alcohol-preferring rat lines/strains, but there are also substantial group differences on other behavioral measures.
Antidepressant Effect of Dimeric Dipeptide GSB-106, an Original Low-Molecular-Weight Mimetic of BDNF
The obtained evidence supports the hypothesis on the involvement of BDNF in the pathogenesis of various depression conditions, thus opening prospects for searching for new original antidepressants.
Novel low-molecular-weight mimetics of the nerve growth factor

Peptides were shown to have positive emotional effects and antistress actions and the potential for the synthesis of peptide compounds with predictable directions of pharmacological actions and safe for wide use is demonstrated.

The nitrogenncontaining heterocyclic molecule LM11AA 31, a p75 receptor ligand, which at concentrations of 10 –7 M prevented mouse neuronal cell death in vitro induced by the βamyloid, was selected for further study.

The data obtained suggest that dimeric dipeptide NGF mimetics are promising candidates in the development of pharmacological agents with NGF-like activity that are free of the main side effect of NGF.

Experiments were performed on the model of HT-22 immortalized hippocampal cells after incubation with afobazole in a concentration of 10—8 M and translocation of σ1-receptors from the endoplasmic reticulum to the outer membrane was demonstrated by confocal microscopy.
