To estimate age-specific risks of breast, ovarian, and contralateral breast cancer for mutation carriers and to evaluate risk modification by family cancer history and mutation location, a large cohort study recruited in 1997-2011 provides estimates of cancer risk based on BRCA1 and BRCa2 mutation carrier status.

Three-year LR rates between SC and LC were not statistically significantly different; the CI for the difference is consistent with either no clinically important difference or differences in favor of LC, which may be more effective in reducing LR for distal tumors.

Making patient-reported cancer needs, quality-of-life (QOL), and psychosocial information available to the health care team at a single consultation does not seem to reduce cancer needs nor improve QOL, psychossocial functioning, or satisfaction with the care received, however, identification of patients with moderate or severe levels of depression may be valuable in reducing subsequent levels of Depression.

Preparatory education and support has the potential to assist women to cope with cancer-related fatigue in the short term, but further research is needed to identify ways to improve the potency and sustainability of psychoeducational interventions for managing cancer- related fatigue.

Under-screeners on mammography were less likely to have received a screening recommendation, were younger and reported lower perceived breast cancer risk, but were at higher relative risk of breast cancer and were more likely to report elevated depression.
