Fungal diversity notes 111–252—taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa
This paper is a compilation of notes on 142 fungal taxa, including five new families, 20 new genera, and 100 new species, representing a wide taxonomic and geographic range. The new families,…
Fungal diversity notes 1–110: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal species
This paper is a compilation of notes on 110 fungal taxa, including one new family, 10 new genera, and 76 new species, representing a wide taxonomic and geographic range. The new family,…
Towards a natural classification and backbone tree for Sordariomycetes
An updated outline of the Sordariomycetes and a backbone tree incorporating asexual and sexual genera in the class are provided and new links between sexual and asexual genera and thus synonymies are provided.
Fungal diversity notes 491–602: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa
This is a continuity of a series of taxonomic and phylogenetic papers on the fungi where materials were collected from many countries, examined and described and DNA sequence data is analysed from concatenated datasets to infer phylogenetic relationships and substantiate systematic positions of taxa within appropriate ranks.
Fungal diversity notes 253–366: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa
In the Ascomycota the new genera Angustospora (Testudinaceae), Camporesia (Xylariaceae), Clematidis, Crassiparies, and Parameliola (Pleosporales genera incertae sedis) are introduced.
Towards unraveling relationships in Xylariomycetidae (Sordariomycetes)
The classification of subclass Xylariomycetidae is revisited with additional collections and phylogeny based on novel rDNA sequence data, and the orders Amphisphaeriales and Xylariales are accepted based on morphological and phylogenetic evidence.
Taxonomy and phylogeny of dematiaceous coelomycetes
This paper illustrates, describes, and provides taxonomic notes for 235 dematiaceous coelomycetous genera, including five new genera viz.
Families of Diaporthales based on morphological and phylogenetic evidence
An updated outline and key to families and genera of the Diaporthales is presented andTaxonomic uncertainties among genera are clarified and recurrent discrepancies in the taxonomic position of families within the DiAPorthales are discussed.
Notes for genera: Ascomycota
This work is intended to provide the foundation for updating the ascomycete component of the “Without prejudice list of generic names of Fungi” published in 2013, which will be developed into a list of protected generic names.

It is concluded that the large number of described species has resulted from introductions based on host association and that many of these are probably not good biological species and researchers should refrain from providing the exact name of species.
