Actinomycetes isolated from medicinal plant rhizosphere soils: diversity and screening of antifungal compounds, indole-3-acetic acid and siderophore production
Actinomycete isolates obtained from 16 medicinal plant rhizosphere soils had high ability to produced antifungal compounds, IAA and siderophores, and Streptomyces CMU-PA101 and StrePTomycesCMU-SK126 had high able to produced anti-fungal substances, including indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and sidersophores.

Evidence is provided to suggest that some endophytic species change their ecological strategies and adopt a saprotrophic lifestyle upon host decay, and molecular data suggest there are fungal taxa that possibly exist as endophytes and saprotrophs.
